Steel Designs Furniture was established in Sydney, in early 1992, custom making uniquely designed contemporary hand-crafted indoor and outdoor wrought iron furniture for both the home and office

As the company grew, readymade furniture was added to the range as well as a large selection of home wares. This proved very popular and due to the fact that we were able to offer the readymade ranges at very competitive prices, a decision was made to discontinue the custom making division and to concentrate on offering our customers contemporary metal and timber furniture at affordable prices. Due to the success of this, we are also now able to offer a limited range of Australian made timber and steel furniture sourced from local manufacturers that we had confidence in. As a result, our customers still have a choice of colors and in most cases can make minor design changes to suit their needs.

Because we wanted to offer our customers more and more choice, we were forced to relocate several times as we outgrew our premises. Today, we have a large showroom situated in Castle Hill, where we have an extensive range of bar stools, dining room furniture, entertainment units and bedroom furniture amongst others, on permanent display. Whilst the range on this website in enormous, we are unable to have every item on display in the store, but we do have a very large selection from the range on display.

We also stock a large range of contemporary home décor items. Customers regularly remark “What an interesting shop to browse through”

For those customers living in the Sydney Metro area, we are able to offer a delivery service for a nominal $66.00 per load. We do of course, offer a delivery service to many other parts of Australia, using a number of outside couriers and will be happy to provide quotes for delivery to these areas.

Our friendly staff will be happy to see you in our showroom, but for those of you who cannot get there, they are just as happy to help you on the telephone or by email.

We accept payment by both Visa and MasterCard, Eftpos, Cash and direct bank deposit. Payment can also be arranged by PayPal. We do not accept cheques
